ABOUT US

Like a newborn baby, the Full Gospel church of Praise was born with a shout. The door was opened on January 4, 2004 and the power of God was in the house. Immediately miracles began happening as the Spirit of God filled the house and those that would let Him in. The church began to grow!

Today we are in our sixth year, and we have performed exploits as Jesus said we would. We've seen mothers conceive who were hopelessly without child. We've witnessed the incredible response from the community as we worked diligently to launch the "Stuff the Bus" program. In the aftermath of hurricane Katrina, our congregation was priviledged to see first hand how that God would meet the needs of displaced Americans when His people get in one mind and one accord to do one thing. The result was not one, but two bus loads of goods that were sent to the needy.

We witnessed a young girl who had exploratory surgery performed on her only to discover that a tumor had grown around her heart and lungs. The surgeon stiched her up and sent to a heart specialist. The church began to pray and a Saint in the church told the family that the girl would be alright. When the specialist ordered an MRI to identify the best way to operate on this tumor, it was gone. God did it again!

Located on the corner of Oakland and Lee streets, we are meeting the needs of the poor and reaching the spiritually hungry. The Full Gospel Church of Praise invites you to worship with us and experience God's love.
